Mimi the Silky Terrier has adorable photos to match her former siblings photographs on the wall. She is the third dog we have photographed in the family, and did not disappoint. For all their cuteness, Silky Terriers can be a little aloof, but not Mimi. As soon as I walked in, she was insistent on cuddles and attention, which suited me rather well. My biggest challenge as a pet photographer, is not being able to cuddle a cute dog. I fought the urge to sweep her up in my arms and run away with her. Luckily, otherwise my two dogs would have had words. ;oP

Firstly, what is your favourite thing about Mimi?

She’s the sweetest natured little girl. Never a cross reaction but always wanting to please me and be by my side whatever I’m doing.

We know every fur baby is unique, & in your totally unbiased opinion have the best pet ever!
What makes yours so special?

Mimi’s special because she’s now an old girl of about 13 but when she came to us as a foster dog from the Dog Refuge Home, she was a young, traumatised, starving and neglected girl who had apparently been living in the sand dunes at the beach during winter. Mimi fell into my arms and never left them as we adopted her after fostering. And in spite of all this trauma, she still has the sweetest nature.

Tell us something about Mimi that will make us laugh?

Mimi thinks she’s a Rottweiler in size! Struts her little legs in the sand like a bull, pees like a male, leads the pack down at the park…….but then when her black Labrador boyfriend from next door arrives at our front door to see her, she turns into the sweetest, coquettish, flirtatious little minx and bounces around him whimpering with love.!! He’s huge, she’s tiny and it’s a beautiful match made in heaven.
