There are three types of dogs; dogs that prefer dogs, dogs that enjoy hoomans and dogs equally, and dogs that prefer their hoomans. Micky is definitely the latter, so much so that he must be sitting on, or at least touching a hooman at all times. As you can see in the photos, Micky melted into his mums arms. It is important to me to capture the character of the pets I photograph. And that’s why some of my favourite pics from this photoshoot are the ones of him being patted, with that heavenly look on his face.
Mickey is a typical wolfhound in that he is a calm, intelligent, dignified fella. Wolfhounds can be sensitive to changes in their environment, and especially so if they have had a bad experience in the past. The fact Mickey loves and trusts his hoomans so much is testament to his patient parents.
Firstly, what is your favourite thing about Micky?
He has become so smoochy is his old age, will allow us to cuddle and scratch him for extended periods which we couldn’t do a couple years ago and even purrs when he’s really getting into it.

What makes yours so special?
He has come such a long way since we adopted him. He was in a bad situation and has taken a long time learning to trust again. Micky has become such a well loved part of our while family, our extended family, and friends lives and we relish all the time we spend with him.
Tell us something about Micky that will make us laugh?
He farts in his sleep and they’re deadly.
Why is having beautiful imagery of Micky important to you?
He is a big part of our family and we want to be able to admire him forever.
